Richard Sayat won the second place almost without playing. In the first and third round his opponents did not show up and in the second round he had a bye. At the end of the third round he was undefeated with 3 points. Very incredible, this is the first time I see this happened. Joseph Brown and National Master Jordan Stoilkovoski tied in the third place but by Tie-Breaker Joseph won the third position. Joseph had a great tournament after playing his winless first professional tournament. In this tournament he had 2.5 of 4 possible with an important draw with NM Stoilkovoski.
In this version we had the representation of 9 different countries: Afghanistan, Colombia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico and United States. Our next professional tournament will be this Tuesday 8 July, 2008 in the same place at the same time (8 Ball MWR Game Room Area at 19:30).
